Editorial Coordination

It is concerned with receiving, organizing and systematizing the selection and arbitration processes of the texts received. It is also the mediator between the activities of the spheres of political-institutional management and those of scientific production evaluation, based on the decisions of the editorial committee and the editor-in-chief, as being immediately responsible for the quality of the content to be published.

It responds directly for the political and institutional direction of the publication, as a means of disseminating knowledge in the area in which it operates, and coordinates its editorial activities.

Section Editors

Composed of professionals of notable capacity and of national / international recognition in the areas of the magazine's editorial line, each coordinating a specific Thematic Area:

Thematic Area 1: Health Promotion (and Prevention of Diseases) in Urgency

Thematic Area 2: Emergency Health Policies and Practices

Thematic Area 3: Emergency Management

Thematic Area 4: Technologies and Innovation in Urgency

Thematic Area 5: Historicity & Philosophy

Scientific Council (reviewers)

Of recognized capacity for evaluation in any thematic area of ​​the journal, they are responsible for the analysis of all texts submitted for publication. The material submitted for publication will be sent to two or more reviewers from an area related to the material under analysis and of recognized capacity for evaluation. The minimum criteria for issuing a positive opinion are: i) the originality of the contribution and the agreement with the scope of the magazine; ii) the appropriate and valid methodology; iii) the rigorous analysis of the results and conclusions supported by the data presented; iv) the correct use of the Portuguese language; v) compliance with the ethical criteria for experimentation and integrity in research. The referee is guaranteed anonymity. Final acceptance is subject to the judgment of the Editorial Board.
